Annually serving as the host course for the Long Beach Open – arguably the most respected non-PGA Tour-affiliated professional mini-tour event in the country – El Dorado is wonderful, tree lined test of golf which originally opened in 1962, and was re-routed in the late 1960s when the clubhouse was built.
Along with hundreds of 50+ year old trees and 59 bunkers that were re-worked during a renovation in 2001, El Dorado features three lakes and a stream that are in play on eight holes. There is also a large driving range which uses grass rather than mats more than 80% of the time, and two large putting greens and a chipping area.
El Dorado can accommodate up to three banquet functions simultaneously through Choura Venue Services, which can be reached at (562) 795-7751.
